ALX Connects Africa’s Brightest Creatives and Founders to Opportunities at Exclusive Mixer

For ALX, one thing is clear: Africa is not short on talent. The award-winning tech career accelerator once again showed why it’s Africa’s leading tech community and hub by hosting an exclusive Executive Mixer in Lagos, bringing together trailblazers from across business, media, tech, and the creative industries, with over 80 guests in attendance.

The invite-only event spotlighted ALX’s fast-growing impact on the continent, showing how the brand continues to bridge the gap between raw talent and real opportunity. Whether you’re a beatmaker in Lagos, a no-code developer in Nairobi, or a founder in Kigali, ALX is building a dynamic tech and creative ecosystem that helps Africa’s youth go global.

A major highlight of the evening was the unveiling of ALX’s Creative Tech programme—a bold step into the future for Africa’s creators. This new suite of tracks, including AI for Creatives, Graphic Design, Music Production, and Content Creation, is designed to give young people the tools, networks, and hands-on skills they need to turn their talent into careers.

“Creative young Africans have the passion, but they’ve often lacked the tools and pathways to turn that into sustainable careers,” said Oluwapelumi Thomas, Learning Community Experience Specialist at ALX Nigeria. “These programs change that. Whether it’s music, design, or storytelling through content development, ALX is empowering creatives to compete globally.”

The event also marked a proud moment for graduating entrepreneurs from the ALX Founder Academy, several of whom have now been selected for the 2025 ALX Ventures Incubator Cohort. These founders are part of a new generation of problem-solvers building tech-enabled businesses with global potential and local relevance.

From Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics, to the Creative Tech programmes and the Founder Academy, ALX continues to connect Africa’s most ambitious minds with world-class learning, mentorship, and funding opportunities. Through strategic partnerships, including the Mastercard Foundation, ALX also helps high-potential learners access full scholarships and further studies abroad with its transformational ALX Pathway programme.

Whether it’s a creative with a beat and a dream, or a founder with a prototype and a pitch deck, ALX remains the place where Africa’s talent meets opportunity. Visit www.alxafrica.ng to join the movement.
